AQUASATIN ®
This product is designed for applying primer and top coats to wooden surfaces, chipboard, and metal surfaces (galvanised steel, acid-resistant steel, aluminium and copper) both indoors and outdoors. Recommended for painting furniture, doors, windows, garden furniture, interior dado, skirting boards, heaters, radiators, etc. The enamel can also be used for painting dado on interior plaster, as well as for the renovation of substrates previously coated with alkyd and chemically curing paints. Note: When painting windows and doors, the applied coat must be completely dry to ensure resistance to sticking. On metal and wooden substrates outside the building, use the special KABE SPIN primer. On existing paint coatings, hard PVC components and non-standard substrates, carry out preliminary trials and application tests.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION: The surface must be sound, degreased, clean and dry. All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt, dust and greasy stains. Old paint coatings and smooth, glossy metal surfaces should be sanded and de-dusted beforehand. If existing paint coatings have poor adhesion to the substrate, they must be completely removed down to the substrate. The moisture content of the wood must not exceed 15%.
PRIMING: When applying a coating to exotic wood or other types of wood with a high resin content or a large number of knots, it may be necessary to use a special isolating primer to eliminate the risk of discolouration. To verify this, appropriate tests should be carried out on such a substrate. If there is a coating on the metal surface and it shows no signs of active rust, it can be painted directly; otherwise, remove all rust down to bare metal and prime with KABE SPIN special primer. To achieve a smooth surface, sand the previously primed substrate with KABE SPIN using fine-grained sandpaper. After sanding, remove any dust. Proper preparation of the substrate for priming and painting is crucial to achieving a satisfactory final result.
APPLICATION: Stir the product thoroughly before starting to paint. If necessary, the product may be diluted with a small amount of potable water (max. 5% by vol.). Apply the enamel using a roller, brush or airless spray, in at least two even coats, allowing at least 8 hours between coats.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS: The surface to be painted must be dry. Painting work should be carried out at temperatures between +8°C and +25°C and at a relative humidity of less than 70%. The manufacturer accepts no liability for poor paintwork quality if these recommendations are not followed.
COVERAGE: approx. 8–12 m²/l for a single coat on a smooth surface. Actual coverage depends on the condition and type of substrate, as well as the application method.
DRYING TIME (depending on temperature and humidity): Dust-dry after 1 hour; touch-dry after 4 hours; ready for a further coat after 8 hours.
CLEANING TOOLS: Before washing the tool, wipe it down to remove as much of the product as possible. Clean the tool with water immediately after use, followed by a nitro thinner. Do not flush paint down the drain, including when cleaning painting tools.
HEALTH AND SAFETY: Rooms should be well ventilated during and after painting until the characteristic odour has disappeared.
