Dispersion paints (latex)

In the case of dispersion paints, the binder together with the pigment and filler particles create a water dispersion. A system is created in which small binder particles are suspended in water, so they are not completely dissolved. After applying the paint to the substrate, the water evaporates and a paint coating is created with properties similar to those of plastic. Thanks to these chemical properties, dispersion paints are characterized by high adhesion and very good mechanical resistance and safety of use. Dispersion paints are also referred to as “emulsion paints” and “latex paints” (although currently it is customary to use the latter name as a collective term for wash-resistant paints). High-quality latex dispersion paints also have very good resistance to wet scrubbing, water penetration, detergents, durability, flexibility and gloss. Moreover, when using these paints, excellent coverage is achieved, and therefore high efficiency and resistance to dirt.
